Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.
Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

Laura helped me through a really hard time in my life. I had nowhere to turn. She was a God send.
Laura is a great counselor! She's engaged and is receptive to ideas shared. I highly recommend her services!
Very upfront and to the point. A GREAT listener and she responds with her honest opinion.
Laura is an amazing therapist. She is gentle yet bold. Helps me process my complicated thoughts in a constructive and helpful way that’s leads me to many revelations/epiphanies.
I think Ms. Pengelly is a good therapist. I appreciate that she specializes with Family issues, because I have problems with my family. You almost have to witness my family to comprehend them, though, That is probably true of any situation, but I feel it with my situation very much. I haven't gotten into the 'relationship problems' I have with them so much. I am glad to have someone to talk to, though. I am afraid to do an in-person session even though I have received requests to schedule one. People don't seem to treat me lik an adult once they have seen and heard me in person. I admit that I have not given her a chance, but I think it might 'ruin things' if she gets to talk to me in person.
She’s been very helpful with helping me to get through grief, stress, anxiety, and just help improve my sobriety as well. I’m going on a year sober and I feel she gives me helpful tools to expand on that.
After jumping around trying to find the right fit, I found Laura and I’m so glad I did. Just in the short amount of time I’ve been talking to her, she has been super helpful! She is very supportive and understanding. She’s also very thorough with her responses and I feel heard and understood. I really appreciate the feedback that she provides and just talking to her has made me feel so much better. I highly recommend her!
She’s great, she listens, responds with good advice, doesn’t judge at all
Laura makes me feel comfortable enough to share my thoughts and always provides me with great insight when I ask for it.
Laura is a thoughtful listener, and has helped me immensely with processing several issues in my life. She offers constructive feedback on behaviors, including mine as well as the potential motivations of others, and helps me to understand the situation objectively without minimizing my thoughts or feelings on the situation. She's been so helpful and I'm grateful to have the opportunity to work with her.
Laura helped me understand some issues I’ve been having for many years, in a very short time. Our sessions were focused and to the point. I enjoyed the flexibility of our convos through messaging opposed to scheduled appointments. Laura is kind, thorough, insightful and highly skilled. I strongly recommend her! Thank you Laura!
Very good and thoughtful.
I really appreciate her. She has been great!
Laura has been awesome with me even though I'm new and complex. She is working very hard to understand me, my anxiety, my past, and my present. She checks in when I haven't logged on it a bit, and is always encouraging. I would highly recommend her.
Laura is amazing. She makes me feel completely comfortable and she responds in a timely manner.
Laura knows the questions to ask to help get you thinking about the direction you need or would like to take. She is knowledgeable in the areas of destructive/abusive relationships and its effect on the partner and children. She understands the seriousness of verbal/emotional abuse in a way that many counselors don't.
She is the best! She’s consistently there for me and she’s not afraid to be brutally honest with me.
Laura understood my issues and guided me the best way she can. Very authentic and professional.
