Hello, thank you for taking the time and to learn a bit more about me. I am a seasoned clinician with 15 years of experience in the field of mental health services. I finished graduate school, (2005), becoming dually licensed in 2009, (LADC), and 2011,(LCMHC), respectively. I've worked with individuals and families facing a variety challenges such as depression and anxiety, terminal illness, unemployment, trauma and abuse, addictions of all kinds, communication failure, loss in relationships, and parenting concerns.
My counseling style is interactive and playful. I love hearing your story. It is the favorite part of my work.
My experience has taught me that the most important predictor of your success, and maintaining it are two-fold. 1.) The connection you and I develop as the person you chose to support you. Do you feel accepted for who you are? And do you feel I understand you? As we unravel your challenges do you feel comforted, clarified, and incrementally challenged to grow? If the answer is yes, the cumulative nature of my positive support, our mutual observations, discussing, (and meeting bumps in the road), will allow incremental challenges to give you traction, expanding your self-esteem, generating your success. 2.) Keeping track of what's happened; beginning, middle and end.
You are welcome to message me anytime through Better Help. The frequency with which you can have access to a counselor to work through day to day emotions and problem solving is extremely beneficial for most and a nice change from traditional outpatient counseling. I usually check messages twice each day, seven days per week. I offer messaging, live chat and phone sessions with limited availability in the evenings and weekends. Please note that what you see in my calendar may not reflect my only availability so you always want to check that out with me through messaging first.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.
Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

Amy has helped me grow tremendously. She is easy to talk to, listens, and responds with specific feedback to whatever we discuss. She’s accommodating and works with my schedule, even though I’m 8 hours ahead. Sometimes I’ll have so much on my mind that I can’t even think straight, but after talking to her I feel more at ease. Amy is by far the best therapist I have ever had.
She’s just phenomenal. A guiding force and someone to hold me accountable and move forward with making like changes.
Amy is a very down to earth and straight forward person and therapist. I appreciate her direct approach as it gives me clarity and real time answers without long drawn out conversations because that is my preference. She has amazing insight during our time together and gives me feedback and things I can implement immediately and long-term.
Chatting with Amy is like conversing with an old friend. She's non-judgmental, supportive & offers reasonable solutions. I could not have made it through the pandemic without her! I'm so grateful!
Amy is fantastic - she provides a very good balance of letting you dictate the pace of your journey, while providing the right guidance at the right time. She is very knowledgeable on the science but also has a deeper understanding of the way we are. Using those two tools together has really helped me understand myself much better in a way that appeals to how i learn. Would highly recommend Amy for anybody.
Amy is a warm and intelligent therapist, with a really good sense of humour that makes conversation engaging and amusing, as well as illuminating. I have enjoyed her relaxed style of counselling, and it has helped me to gain insight into areas of my life that had previously overwhelmed me. Amy is supportive and direct, and I've really enjoyed working with her.
She is amazing and "to the point". I am suprised with the fact of how much value I recieved from just 2-3 sessions by Amy. I would totally recommend.
I’ve only had one session with Amy so far and in that single session, she has literally turned my situation around. I love her style. She’s so relatable and easy to talk to.
In the short time we have had communication I felt listened and understood. Would 100% recommend her and this site.

Amy is very good at giving advice and listening. Her guidance is good and she is supportive.
Amy is an excellent therapist. She is an excellent listener, question asker, and draws on personal stories and technically sound expertise. Our conversations provide the support I need to increase my sense of safety, feel understood and manage life’s challenges. Thoughtful, funny, and articulate, she’s is someone I’d recommend to anyone trying therapy for the first time or looking for a new therapist.
