Hi there! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the states of South Carolina & Ohio. I have over 13 years experience working with adults, adolescents, and children both in clinic and private practice settings. I also have experience working with couples and families. Some clinical issues I have the most experience in include depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties and stress management. I also have experience working with persons living with chronic physical disabilities and those dealing with trauma and grief issues. Additionally, I have training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction.

In therapy, I am supportive, compassionate, and present with individuals throughout their journey; including times of struggle and times of achievement. I enjoy getting to know my clients and work hard to understand how I can best help them in their journey.

My educational background includes a Bachelor's in Sociology and a Master's in Counseling. I know that no single approach is right for everyone therefore I believe in flexibility, & I have specialized training in a variety of evidenced based approaches to help individuals achieve their therapeutic goals. I have a straightforward style, and I have a strong appreciation for a sense of humor.

I look forward to working with you and helping you find what you're looking for here and within yourself!

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

Mirinda is great. I have had several counselors in the past and she is by far the best one. She replies fast, is very knowledgeable, and seems to always know the right answer. Her guidance has changed my marriage for the better and I couldn't express my thanks enough. She has also helped with other issues I have and always knows the best approach. By far, the best counselor ever.
