Dr. Notice is the best experience I've ever had with therapy thus far. She maintains utmost professionalism while making you feel comfortable, and truly listens. She has a way of prompting you to look within yourself for the answers, rather than doling out conventional wisdom, or prescribing guidance through a biased lens - which is what many therapists default to. For those who want a positive and effective therapy experience, I couldn't recommend her more.

More about Maxine

Hello, I am Dr. Maxine Notice. I am a professional counselor with experience practicing in New York, New Hampshire, and Nebraska. My clinical work has allowed me to serve clients in a variety of settings. I work best with helping clients dealing with issues of depression, stress, relationship issues, and unexpected life adjustments. My work in commuity mental health clinics, and hospital settings has made me well rounded in helping clients and their family members adjust to illness, pain management, mental health diagnosis, and grief/loss. I use a series of evidence based practices including cognitive behavior therapy, and solution focused intervention to help clients learn effective skills to gain control over their current life circumstances. I assist clients by creating action plans, tailored specifically to meeting their goals. I am vigilant with staying aware of the latest research, and treatment methods to provide my clients with the most relevant resources to help them succeed.

Most importantly, I recognize that life's struggles can be overwhelming and challenging. My goal is to provide you with practical solutions and tools you can apply in all aspects of your life. As my client, we will begin services where you are, while assisting you in identifying healthy solutions to your problems. It is my belief that most people have the ability to grow and build on their own strengths; however, at times, need empowerment and encouragement. Therapy is a collaborative process and I will assist you to learn, grow, and make positive changes that can result in a more fulfilling life.

I have been having weekly sessions with Dr. Notice since summer of 2020. Dr. Notice has been and still is a major help in my journey to overcome depression and anxiety. She has made me more confident in myself and has given me tools to manage depression. Not only does she help me with myself, but also helps me with my relationship with my wife. I am a much better communicator now than I was a year ago. My life has changed quickly over the past year and Dr. Notice has been great in helping me transition with each change. She is also responsive and gives multiple ways to communicate. I definitely recommend her!

Dr. Notice has helped me almost a month. I have nothing to say but she is really amazing therapist. She helped me cope with my anxiety and depression during this pandemic time. In these days, we are working on self-awareness, behavior patterns and family issues. Worksheets that she sent me after every phone/video session show/explain how my mind works and what is a practical way to apply these insights. It helped with recognizing my thinking process and now actually can start to control my mood and mind a bit. Of course, She always supports me with full of warm and cheering words. She is very punctual and consistent with clients. I am very satisfied with her session.

Her style is great for anyone who may be new to counseling and would like to feel safe.
