I am a therapist licensed in Missouri who has been practicing for over six years. I have experience in working with various range of concerns including depression, anxiety, trauma/abuse, attachment disorders, substance abuse, sexual issues, and LGBTQIA + populations. I also have experience work with couples and family systems.

My counseling approach is warm, open and interactive. I enjoy working with each client to create a unique treatment plan that will ultimately help each client achieve their individual goals. I believe in coming to each session from a place of non-judgment and warm acceptance for where my clients are in their lives and what goals they are trying to achieve. I incorporate approaches from solution focused therapy, EMDR, narrative, DBT and feminist therapies to create a unique treatment approach with each client.

Seeking treatment is a step that requires courage and when you are ready to take that step I am here and excited to help you on your journey.

Being a student in a worldwide pandemic has been difficult considering I deal with both anxiety and depression. My last option was BetterHelp as normal therapy or counselors are expensive and hard to track down with any insurance recently. Speaking with Karen gives me the opportunity to get feedback and thoughts about my pattern of thought when talking about myself. I feel more confident and more validated since speaking with her. It is a decision that made my quality of life overall better. I suggest it to anyone searching for help.
