Hello! My name is Lauren and I am a licensed clinical professional counselor in the state of Maine. I have been working in the mental health field for 6 years. I have worked with individuals, families, couples, children and teens, who've experienced a variety of issues including family conflict, parenting challenges, marriage/relationship challenges, communication challenges, anxiety, depression, ADHD, stress-related issues, Autism, self-esteem and confidence issues, as well as supporting individuals who are trying to manage feelings of depression and isolation.

Every person deserves to feel listened to, understood, and supported while working toward bettering themselves. I attended Capella university where I received my Master's degree in clinical mental health counseling.

I am a down-to-earth individual who is open-minded and I think outside of the box. I would greatly enjoy partnering with you to help you on your journey as we work together to develop your mental health goals and a plan for reaching them using client-centered, solution-focused and CBT interventions.

Be kind and patient with yourself during this process as change takes time, commitment and consistency.

I look forward to helping you.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.
