So far she's been very kind and listens to my concerns and has seemed confident that we can work through all of my issues, however I feels it's too soon for a full on review so I will further my review after a few more sessions.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

I am so happy with the therapist I was matched with. I truly feel like it was meant to be. I know that sounds strange, but it's true. She is so sweet and caring. I'm so happy I reached out and found someone so perfect for me to talk to. I'm going through a lot and she didn't seem to be phased by it all. She was ready to dive right in and help from our first conversation. I'm so thankful for this program and how easy it was to sign up. If I knew how easy it was I would have done it a lot sooner. Thank you Amy. You are amazing. Thank you Better Help.

A key part of Amy’s therapeutic practice is to normalize what you are going through by relating your experience to her personal life, where she indicates that she has experienced something similar to what you have in order to make you feel less isolated. While this is not an approach that works for me as someone who prefers to have a therapist who asks questions that lead me to pull on my own experiences to address what I am navigating, if you are someone who is looking to have this form of therapeutic relationship Amy is very friendly and non-judge mental.
