More about Prof.

I have about twenty years work experience in the field of mental health services, I have worked as an adult case manager in community support services. I have also been an intake specialist; but the one area I have found the most rewarding is working as a mental health counselor. I enjoy working with people in helping them to see issues and problems from different perspectives and helping them to make better choices that will help them with feeling better about themselves and to overcome their personal problems.
I hold advanced degrees in psychology and mental health counseling. From my education and work experience, I have found CBT and positive center approaches along with solution based therapy to be effective in helping clients to become more mindful along with helping them to build coping skills that they can utilize to help them to be more empowered in making healthy decisions in their lives.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.
Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

Professor mcgaugh listens attently injects wisdom and guidance throughout the conversation and is supportive of me. He is kind and patient man and builds me up with his kind words. I have had a rough time recently and the proffessor has been there supporting me throughout. He is always available leaves messages when he can and I would really recommend him to anyone. His knowledge base is vast and I’ve had a lot of different kinds of conversations with him all therapeutic as he always supports and encourages me. As someone who has a hard time just being myself I find the professor has helped me grow in the short time I have been talking to him. Definitely recommend. Wonderful person great listener great psychologist .
Mike has helped ask some really great questions, and offered some great perspectives, all which have given me a lot to help find my own path, and helped give me a more grounded and fulfilling life.

My mental health is healing well thanks to his compassionate ear and useful tools.
It has been 8 months since we started therapy with Prof. Mike, and I'm willing to continue. I would like to say that you have been a great help, listening and understanding, directing and influencing the way I think and perceive things, showing me different perspectives that I wouldn't maybe be able to explore on my own. Thanks for being always flexible, responsive, and available... no matter at what time my outbursts and breakdowns strike!
Prof. McGaugh was amazing and instrumental in process of healing during this time. He is very kind, patient, gentle and sincere. I would recommend him anytime and to anyone.
Mike McGaugh has been nothing but a professional and a scholar since I met him months ago He’s the first person in my 20 years of life that told me the things I needed to hear Mike McGaugh is the man you would want to comfort when you’re at your lowest My only regret is missing today’s session because I know I would’ve gained something from it
Thank you for being so communicative and listening to me. The support you give is great
Michael is a great person and a professional who has helped me make important steps to improve my life.
I've been seeing Prof. McGaugh for several weeks now and I can already tell that he's going to be a major help to me. He is incredibly easy to talk with and I always look towards our sessions.
This is the first time I’m doing therapy, I was concerned about how much comfortable I would feel exposing myself, I didn’t really know how therapy works, but Prof. McGaugh made it very easy and smooth, I’m comfortable to share anything that goes on my mind, and his inputs are very straight to the point. I’ve only had a few sessions so far, Prof. McGaugh introduced to a couple of practices and methods that I started to apply and benefit from, which all makes me feel confident in his experience and I would like to continue to attend more sessions with him for the coming period.
I have been in therapy with Professor McGaugh for several months now and the help he has given me has been invaluable. With his support and guidance I have been able to understand the different aspects of the particular problems I face and therefore the best ways to get through them. He is patient, compassionate and very easy to talk to. Many thanks for all.
Therapy has helped me a lot . It’s great to have someone to talk about problems we cannot always solve on our own. I’m really thankful for this service.
