More about Danielle

Hello! My name is Danielle Guerrero and I am a licensed clinical social worker in New Mexico. I am a life long New Mexico resident, and attended New Mexico State University for both my bachelors and masters in social work. I have several years of experience working with a wide variety of clients to include both individuals and families . I have experience working with individuals who have experienced domestic violence, families and individuals who are involved with CPS, as well as specializing in foster care/adoption and attachment therapy. I also work with individuals who need assistance with stress management, depression, anxiety, parenting support, PTSD, adjustment/life changes, interpersonal conflicts, grief and loss, and trauma.

I have a warm, collaborative, and eclectic approach to therapy that includes different evidence based therapeutic frameworks to include attachment theory, cognitive behavioral therapy, solution focused therapy, strengths based therapy, and person centered therapy. I focus on helping people learn positive coping and communication skills to overcome barriers they face in daily life. I believe that the therapeutic alliance is the most important part of therapy, and that the most healing comes from work that is collaborative. I enjoy helping people learn how to harness their inner strength to build resiliency.

The journey to self discovery starts with a single step. I look forward to working with you!

It is convenient for those who may have trouble getting to or would prefer not to have in-person therapy appointments. Starting at $65 per week, online counseling is generally more affordable than in-person counseling. A study by researchers at University of California, Berkeley found that online counseling can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy while being more convenient, affordable, and accessible.
