Hello there.
I am a licensed marriage and family therapist with over 6 years of experience working as a psychotherapist and over 10 years of experience as a life coach. I have primarily worked with clients dealing with various concerns including depression and anxiety, self-esteem/self-worth, relationship issues, sexual orientation, and career challenges. I also aid in helping people deal with trauma from racial oppression and violence.
My counseling style is direct and caring, with you as the leader and expert of your experience. I meet you where you are and begin with strengthening the foundation you will build on. Whatever ideations, thoughts, and beliefs you currently have will be used and/or challenged in an environment that allows you to safely, freely, and openly express them. Aside from safety concerns, this is a completely judge free zone no matter the culture/subculture, gender, pronoun, or race. I create and uphold an environment of MUTUAL respect of boundaries and you are able to go at your pace. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, experiential, psychodynamic, and motivational-interviewing which would be tailored to your needs.
I believe in elevating the personal power within and guide you towards accessing that. Living in truth looks different for everyone. Let's find out what it looks like, for you!

Online counseling, sometimes called teletherapy, refers to talk therapy delivered remotely through digital platforms, such as video calls, phone calls, or chat. It can be a great option for people who face barriers to traditional face-to-face therapy, such as those living in remote areas, individuals with mobility issues, or people with busy schedules that make it difficult to attend in-person sessions.
Teletherapy also offers greater convenience and flexibility, allowing clients to access care from the comfort of their homes. Research shows that the treatment outcomes with online counseling are often just as effective as with traditional therapy, providing a viable alternative for individuals seeking mental health support.

Very thoughtful and patient
Jessica Mitchell is and continues to be a great listener, giver of insightful advise, and confidante. She helps me focus on what is important while providing space, time, and support when I struggle through my emotions. I like the homework she gives, specific thoughts to reflect and/or write about. She has helped me figure out where I should focus and always tailors the work in and out of our sessions to align with my wants/ needs. Very grateful to have her as my therapist.
Jessica takes the time to listen to me and provide different perspectives on my situation I appreciate how she shares her concerns and meets me where I’m at when I’m ready I thank her for helping me through my difficult times
Jessica is absolutely incredible, I feel so comfortable talking with her, and her feedback and advice for everything we talk about is always so spot on, it really does give me a lot of clarity, and so far with the time we’ve worked together, I 100% feel like a better person for it.

My life is changing for the better because of the support and guidance I receive from Ms.Mitchell. Her ability to pick up where we left off or where I currently am is amazing! And she’s always on point and takes time to discuss, question and guide me towards my goals in this therapy.
