I am a licensed professional counselor specializing in coping skills for adolescence, trauma, bullying and crisis intervention. I earned a master’s degree in counseling at the University of Houston in 2003. My experience includes working with students and parents in the education system for the past 30 years of which the last 14 have been supporting intermediate students as a school counselor.
As a licensed professional counselor, my goal is to assist children, adolescents and adults seeking relief and guidance with depression, anxiety, domestic violence, life transitions, conflict resolution, LGBTQ+ challenges, and more. During your session, you are empowered to explore feelings, express emotion and process current reality. Intervention techniques will be introduced to assist with development of coping strategies that focus on holistic health. Opportunities to address dysfunctional behavior and unhealthy relationships will open doors to healing and ultimately emotional freedom.
Today you are one step closer to a new you where you feel empowered and on a positive path to growth and well-being.
As a solution-focused therapist, my goal is to help you uncover your true potential and lead a life that is worth celebrating. While we can't change difficult situations of the past, we can work together to better understand and resolve challenges in your life. By applying complementary therapy approaches and techniques, we will unearth long-standing behavior patterns or negative perceptions that may be holding you back from experiencing a more fulfilling and meaningful life.
If you're looking for extra support and guidance through a challenging situation or you're just ready to move in a new direction in your life, I look forward to working with you to achieve your goals.

Online counseling, sometimes called teletherapy, refers to talk therapy delivered remotely through digital platforms, such as video calls, phone calls, or chat. It can be a great option for people who face barriers to traditional face-to-face therapy, such as those living in remote areas, individuals with mobility issues, or people with busy schedules that make it difficult to attend in-person sessions.
Teletherapy also offers greater convenience and flexibility, allowing clients to access care from the comfort of their homes. Research shows that the treatment outcomes with online counseling are often just as effective as with traditional therapy, providing a viable alternative for individuals seeking mental health support.
