Jennifer really thinks outside the box when it comes to asking open ended questions and reflecting on my difficulties. She makes me really think about my core problems and helps me work through them. She makes me feel comfortable talking to her and I do look forward to therapy because of her. I used to not like talking, but she’s patient with me and really wants to listen to anything that’s going on. Her affirmations are much appreciated and I continually look forward to meeting with her.

Hello! My name is Jennifer, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I am glad you have reached out for support in your current stage of life. I have practiced for the last nine years in Washington, Oregon and Utah. I graduated with my Master’s in Social Work from Eastern Washington University (2012). I have worked with families in many different situations and settings (in-home, community, and schools). I am also a clinical supervisor for a team of therapists and individuals obtaining licensure. My background includes working with families involved with the child welfare system. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns, including depression, anxiety, family issues, family conflict, and parenting concerns. Not every therapist will be the right therapist for you. I understand that finding the “right” person is a process, and I am willing to walk that road with you.
My counseling style is interactive, using Cognitive-Behavior Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. However, I do not limit what strategies I use. I feel you are the expert in your life, and I am here as a guide. You are the force behind the changes you want to make. My goal is to help you create a positive change in your life. I want you to feel support from me and know that I value our time together. Once we gain clarity on what is challenging you, we can create goals that are manageable and realistic to work towards. We will continue to work together throughout the entire process.
I am an open-minded, caring, and non-judgmental person. I know that reaching out for help can be very difficult. I want to reassure you that I am here to assist you with any changes you want or need to make. I want you to feel more at ease in your daily life. I look forward to working with you!

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.
Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

Thank you
In only a short amount of time, Jennifer has already made me feel more confident in myself and my relationship. She has helped me realize the importance of self care and given me ideas to work towards. I look forward to our sessions and can’t wait to see how this experience will improve my life!
Jennifer is the first counselor that I'm able to open up to.
Ms. Wiss listens closely, demonstrated right away that she understood my primary challenges in a complex situation, and provided actionable feedback that I have found helpful in addressing my needs.
Jennifer is amazing
Jennifer seems to “know where I’m coming from,” and understands my situation. It helps that she says my situation must be difficult and frustrating so I don’t feel like I am out there alone or to blame. She asks the right questions to help decide next steps. She gives me tasks to go before our next meeting! I like that! It holds me accountable to what I said I would try. I would love to have some sort of notes to refer back to after a session. I just saw the Journal, so maybe I can remember to put notes in there.
Have really enjoyed working with Jennifer! She is responsive and really cares. I’d happily recommend her to anyone.
I have really enjoyed my counseling sessions with Jennifer. She's kindly listens and offers professional advice. I feel positive after my sessions and I have more confidence to approach the things I need to do. I feel heard when I speak with her.
