I am a therapist that has focused on working with the individual, family, and couples. I am a licensed professional counselor and a registered nurse that has been practicing counseling for nearly 10 years in various settings. I have expertise in addiction, trauma, eating disorders, depression, anxiety and panic, grief and loss, and sleep disorders.

I use a wide variety of modalities that include CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, Client-Centered Therapy, EFT, midfullness, CBT for insomnia and Internal Family Systems. It is important to me to build a strong relationship with clients and develop trust to ensure a good experience and life changing counseling for clients. I focus on the client and what will help them improve them in a helpful way.

Seeking out a counselor takes courage and it is important to chose someone who is trusted, has goals to improve each persons well-being, and is mindful of the individual's needs.

I look forward to meeting and working with you!

Online counseling, sometimes called teletherapy, refers to talk therapy delivered remotely through digital platforms, such as video calls, phone calls, or chat. It can be a great option for people who face barriers to traditional face-to-face therapy, such as those living in remote areas, individuals with mobility issues, or people with busy schedules that make it difficult to attend in-person sessions.

Teletherapy also offers greater convenience and flexibility, allowing clients to access care from the comfort of their homes. Research shows that the treatment outcomes with online counseling are often just as effective as with traditional therapy, providing a viable alternative for individuals seeking mental health support.

Reviewed May 2022

Erika is the first therapist I have had that I feel actually listens to me, not just the words I'm speaking, but what I'm trying to convey. She has seen things in me that I have kept well hidden for years, and is skillfully bringing those items to the surface for us to explore. Erika is a rare gem, so few are made that when you do find one, you truly know how fortunate you are.

Reviewed December 2023

She is very professional and seems to be very in touch with what I need to get better.

Ericka is a wonderful therapist, and an even better human. She works with me on my needs, meeting me halfway, and is extraordinarily good at being a helper and supporter along the way. She has been incredibly kind and respectful, teaching me how to learn to be more kind with myself, and within my first month of therapy, we’ve been able to come up with an effective strategy for getting the feeling of getting back in control of my life in ways I didn’t imagine possible. I would recommend her to anyone on BetterHelp, or privately for therapy sessions. She’s so awesome !!
