Hello! My name is Jessie and I live in Colorado with my husband of 25 years and my two teenage sons. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with 18 years of experience. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns such as depression and other mood disorders, grief and loss, relationship issues, crisis services, motivation/self-esteem issues.
I do not believe in one-size-fits-all counseling. I am eclectic in the treatment modalities I utilize, tailoring my approach to the needs of each individual client. I find that I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Client Centered Therapy and Motivational Interviewing strategies the most. I also use faith-based counseling strategies, when appropriate.
I look forward to working with you!

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.
Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

I like her. She’s great.
Working with Jessica has been a wonderful, positive experience. She is is helping me work through decades of low self-worth and poor confidence in myself and my abilities. She is warm, compassionate, and easy to talk to. While therapy can certainly be difficult sometimes, I actually look forward to my sessions with her because I know she will guide me in the right direction. She has made a real difference in my life.
Jessica Chavez is a great counselor. She listens to my concerns and responds with sensitivity and thoughtfulness. I appreciate her genuineness. I feel heard and cared for talking to her. I would definitely recommend her to anyone who is looking for a good therapist.
I haven't been working with Jessica for very long, but what I can already say is that she is very attentive and pays attention to the details of our conversations. She so far has had great feedback and I can already feel a positive difference. I'd highly recommend her to anyone who is struggling to find balance in their lives, or who perhaps needs help getting back on track with self care. I look forward to working with her long term, as I'm sure she will continue to be a great resource and professional support.
