I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, registered with over 30 years of experience working as a psychotherapist in Miami, FL and in Argentina. I am certified with the Florida Board of Marriage and Family Therapy. Upon receiving my MS in Psychology in 2007 from Carlos Albizu University, I have worked in my private practice in Miami, Florida.
I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including parenting problems, adjusting to new babies in the family, post -partum depression ( and everything related to pregnancies and birth), relationship issues, depression, anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorders, ADHD, ASD, and more. I have extensive experience working with very young children, school age children and adolescents, adults, couples, and families. I provide child behavior management, coping and adjustment skills, couples therapy. My work with individuals and couples is based on a humanistic and strength-based foundation to allow for connection, self-discovery, and healing. I have also helped many people who process and heal from physical trauma or emotional abuse. I also have experience in LGBT, family conflicts, career difficulties, addiction, coping with life changes.
My counseling style is warm and interactive. I provide a supportive, nurturing and safe environment through a tailored dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique emotional and mental needs.
My therapeutic approach combines cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, psycho dynamic. I utilize solution-focused approach, family systems, Acceptance and Commitment therapy (ACT), based on Relational-based theory and also use cognitive-behavioral techniques to help address obstacles in the everyday life and improve self-esteem, self-awareness, and work towards moving forward with life.
In addition, I am bilingual in Spanish and frequently conduct therapy in this language. It takes courage to seek for a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. If you are ready to take that step, I am here to support and empower you. Together, we will find the answers and solutions to your troubles and work to develop novel coping techniques.
I look forward to working with you!

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.
Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.
