I am a licensed clinical mental health counselor with over12 years experience with teens, family, couples and individuals. I have worked with clients on a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting problems, career challenges, OCD and ADHD, and grief. I also helped many people who have experienced physical trauma or emotional abuse.
My counseling style is warm and interactive. I believe in treating anyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I don't believe in labels. Alice is a great listener! She offers excellent guidance and provides space for growth and clarity in whatever it is that you are going through.
I don’t open up very easy. Alice made it so easy by reading my concerns and guiding our conversations to help my address them in healthy ways. Alice also offers post-session “homework” to help solidify things we talked about and deepen my mental health toolbox. She is kind, professional, and compassionate while helping me address my concerns.
Alice has been such a great listener and gives warm, comforting advice. We’ve only had a few sessions so far but I’m really pleased with how we’re moving through them. After telling her about some childhood trauma, she bought a work book about it that we’ll work through together. She cares and is knowledgeable.
I love that I could tell immediately she read my “intake paperwork”. As soon as the first video chat started she quickly commented abt my sons age so I knew she read through it. We simply talked, an actual conversation, so it feels authentic and not so “clinical”. Our second visit she had tips for me and I’vedone journal and other homework then she asked me what I’d want to cover next, and that is major for me. I have some control and know what to expect. She’s not just “checking boxes” she is looking at my journal entry’s, getting tips ready for me and I am looking forward to visit 3.
