I am a licensed mental health therapist in the state of Georgia with over 5 years of experience working as a clinical mental health therapist. I have a Bachelor's degree in Communications and my Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Walden University. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, Bi-polar, Schizophrenia, OCD, ODD and ADHD. I also helped many people who have experienced physical trauma or emotional abuse.
My counseling style has always been focused on building a strong therapeutic alliance with my client. I believe in treating anyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. My motto is that we all have bad situations in life (death, abuse, divorce, etc.) that we experience in life that can trigger some negative thoughts, emotional feelings, etc. and it is important to respond to these situations in a healthy manner or we tend to stay in that negative space longer than we ever intended. I have been there. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral therapy, DBT, rational-emotive counseling, and client-centered therapy. My goal is to walk with you through your healing journey as you take steps towards accepting but not allowing challenging events to define who you are and take control of your life.
I realize that it is not easy to admit that you need help, but that is the beginning of change!! If you are ready to take that step I am here to support and empower you.
I look forward to working with you!

Online counseling allows you to receive care from a mental health practitioner via phone, video chat, or instant messaging. It is convenient for those who may have trouble getting to or would prefer not to have in-person therapy appointments. Starting at $65 per week, online counseling is generally more affordable than in-person counseling. A study by researchers at University of California, Berkeley found that online counseling can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy while being more convenient, affordable, and accessible.

Robert Turner is has been a great help. He truly listens and offers both kind encouragement and helpful suggestions. I feel very comfortable sharing with him and know that he will guide me towards a more positive mindset.
I’m still working with Robert Turner but he has already helped me tremendously in my battle against anxiety and depression. Robert is an excellent listener and takes the time to really understand both my challenges and myself as an individual. I feel comfortable sharing difficult topics with Robert and can count on him to provide thoughtful guidance and compassion. Robert is skilled at recognizing when I’m in an anxious or depressed mood during our sessions and helps steer the conversation back to the issues at hand. I would highly recommend working with Robert as a therapist.
Robert Turner is an excellent listener and so easy to talk to. Somehow he makes you feel like you're talking to a wise friend instead of a counselor, and I thoroughly enjoy our sessions. He offers alternative perspective to my own way of thinking which is something I respect and clearly need in my life!
I was nervous about getting to open up to a stranger but Robert has made this such a safe space and I am opening up more and more each week
I have thoroughly enjoyed every session with Robert. From the first session through to the last, he has consistently been very committed to understanding me and showing up for me. His helpful guidance has meant that I have come away from every session feeling that some sort of progress has been made. Robert is able to bring his cheerful character into each session which allows for a greater sense of reassurance and calm and makes the experience of therapy a lot more comfortable. I can tell that he is genuinely passionate about what he does and it's been an honour to be in his presence.
Best decision I’ve made in my life. He is very supportive in my journey to healing.
Robert has assisted me greatly in my response and handling task and negative thoughts.. we have real life session where I'm able to put things into prospective.
Robert's perspective has been helpful for me to change my outlook and enable self growth. I've been very happy with his dialog and encouragement. It has been refreshing to have honest feedback in an environment where I feel heard.
Robert is very friendly and very helpful. Within minutes of him being assigned as my therapist, we were communicating and it was clear that Robert was prepared to dedicate himself fully to helping me. He made himself very available, there was a time where I was struggling so Robert video called me to check in which was very much appreciated. In our sessions, Robert was great at providing a comfortable and safe environment for me to talk freely and he helped me to put a lot of things I was struggling with into perspective. I am eternally grateful for his help, thank you Robert.
Robert is a great listener and did a fantatic job of picking up on verbal and non-verbal cues. He reflects meaning well and shines a light on places that might need attention. Robert is friendly, open and kind.
I am hesitant to write Dr. Turner a review because I don't feel I will be able to do him enough justice. I wholeheartedly believe that Dr. Turner has made an effort not only to hear what I say but to make the effort to understand what I mean. As a person with trust and control issues, I feel that I can speak without hesitation. He has been able to provide valuable insight which has improved my quality of life and already taken a weight off of my shoulders. I would recommend Dr. Turner to anyone under the condition that I am still able to reach him.
I’m so glad I went with Robert as my counselor!! The sessions have given me so much clarity and peace. The guidance he’s given me has helped me regain confidence in myself. It’s greatly appreciated!
I have really enjoyed my counseling with Rob so far! He is very understanding and has helped me immensely in such a short time frame. I always look forward to our sessions and can’t wait to continue to grow.
