It usually takes me awhile to like the therapist that I go to but I clicked instantly with Rebecca. She makes me feel comfortable to talk about anything without judgment she’s helping think of way to move past issues from the past while still working through it tying to the trouble I have daily. She’s definitely helping me realize that not all therapist are bad and that you just need to be pair with the right one.

Rebecca is amazing! Every time we talk, it's like she's been there for me since my childhood, which was difficult due to autism. Highly recommend!

I am a licensed professional counselor (LPC) and national certified counselor (NCC) in Pennsylvania with over 10 years of experience working as a psychotherapist, specifically specializing in substance use disorder, trauma, cross addiction, eating disorders, assessment and diagnostics, and PTSD.
I have extensive experience working with clients with a wide range of needs/diagnoses including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting problems, career challenges, OCD, ADHD, ASD, first responders, vicarious trauma, BPD, bipolar, schizophrenia, and chronic pain to name a few.
In addition to being an LPC and NCC, I am also a certified career counselor with extensive experience and knowledge in writing resumes, cover letters, interview skills, and career enhancement. I have helped countless individuals jump start their careers, go back to school, or find the motivation needed to take the steps needed to achieve their goals.
I have experience working with individuals of varying ages (teen to adult), needs (hearing impaired, speech impaired, learning disabilities), a variety of gender and sexual orientations, with extensive experience working with members of the LGBTQA+ community, individuals in non-traditional relationships, various religious and spiritual beliefs and individuals with criminal justice involvement at varying degrees. I also have both personal and professional experience working with veterans and military personnel. I approach every situation and relationship as unique and special, treating everyone I meet with respect and compassion free of judgement.
My counseling style is laid back and interactive. I feel it is best to approach things head on and in a straightforward manner. I understand that counseling will never be a "one size fits all" field and I strive to create a judgement free and safe zone. I avoid cookie cutter goals and treatment plans, individualizing treatment, goals, approaches and techniques based on your individual needs. It is important that the treatment plan that we create together works for you, not me. My goal is to empower you and give you the tools necessary to be your own hero, enacting long-term change. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, client-centered, and solution focused therapy through the utilization of a variety of techniques, including but not limited to: art therapy, music therapy, talk and narrative therapy, journaling, role playing, career counseling, and mindfulness.
One of the hardest things we will ever have to do is take that first step towards change. Change can be scary, at times leaving us stuck in a negative pattern, but remember just because its familiar doesnt make it positive. We allow ourselves to become comfortable in the uncomfortable. Congratulations on taking that first huge step, and perhaps the most important step, on the road to recovery. I will be there to support your and encourage you every step of the way. You will never have to navigate this alone again.
I look forward to working with you!

Starting at $65 per week, online counseling is generally more affordable than in-person counseling. Rebecca is amazing! Every time we talk, it's like she's been there for me since my childhood, which was difficult due to autism. Highly recommend!
I have had other Therapist in the past it is only now that I feel I’m on the path to proper healing.
I have had many therapists over the years. By far Rebecca Trout is the best of my entire life.
Rebecca Trout is the best therapist I have ever worked with. She knows when to listen, when to ask questions, and when to give advice
Great help
Rebecca is the best therapist with whom I have ever worked.
I have been with Rebecca for a while, and I enjoy being able to have the support and advise that she offers, great listener and good insight on any issues I come across. I definitely recommend!
Amazing. Absolutely amazing. I’m not sure where I’d be without her.
She has an insane diverse background and wealth of experience to draw from, every issue I have or thing I reference she has an unexpected understanding of. Very good at reading people and know how my brain works do a scary degree. Endlessly patient, understanding, friendly, respectful, and fun to talk to, feels more like talking to an older sister than a scary teacher or doctor, which makes sense since she has a brother my age who’s also autistic
Whether you like it or not, therapy is a personal profession. You will become friends with your therapist if they're any good. That being said, the very first therapist I got on here was just that. A good friend. Someone I feel like I can trust after having talked with them pretty little. And most importantly they don't just let me talk. They give me structure and goals and hard truths.
She’s awesome
I have only had a few sessions with Rebecca and I have seen such a difference in my self-confidence. It feels like I am talking to a friend I’ve known forever! She gives me tools to navigate situations and it’s been a positive experience.
Rebecca Trout knows when to listen when to ask follow-up questions, when to offer positive reinforcement, and when to give advice. I have had therapists for three decades and she is hands down the best. So glad to have her for my mental health.
I have been so apprehensive of starting back into therapy again.. the fact that you have to reopen all of your traumas so that someone can get a base understanding of you. Rebecca made it feel as though I was able to open up to her upon our first meeting. I feel like I have an outlet at anytime to express my feelings and knowing someone is going to genuinely listen to what I have to say. I do feel like she listens when you speak. I am very pleased that I was matched with Rebecca!!
Extremely relatable and very real. Having someone to talk to who knows what I’m going though makes it a lot easier.
Rebecca is extremely knowledgeable and supportive. She has helped me actually utilize therapy for improving my mental health vs. just going through the motions which I had been doing prior. She honestly creates a space where you feel comfortable and free from judgement so sharing more sensitive issues isn’t such a struggle.
For the short time that I have been with her it has been wonderful! Great experience so far!
Excellent therapist - highly recommended
Im so happy that Rebecca trout turn out to be my therapist. I think she is amazing. She has really helped me realize who I really am and I'm so grateful.
Happy to have matched with her through BetterHelp.
Rebecca understands my needs and is timely and attentive. She helps me feel heard and understood and gives me the tools and knowledge to better myself and be at ease when I feel challenged mentally and emotionally. Rebecca has changed my life for the better.
Rebecca makes me feel understood, comfortable & like I have the strength to do the work. I feel like her specific experiences & qualifications make her a specifically great therapist. I highly recommend her & commend her extra mile attitude to take time to be more human than any therapist I’ve had in the past.
Rebecca has my best interests at heart. I am happy to have been connected to her!
I'm very happy that Rebecca was assigned to be my therapist since the first minute we spoke I felt that I could trust her and that my well being was her first priority .
She is a great listener and helps you sort out options that are difficult to perceive on one's own
Shes the nicest person and therapist ever she does waaay too much for her own good but i appreciate all of it ~
Rebecca is very insightful and thoughtful to my needs and concerns and gives recommendations and suggestions in a straightforward and honest way. She's a wonderful neutral party to help me grow and move forward in my journey and I'm very thankful for her expertise and time.
I was completely nervous about talking to a therapist at first. I was worried about how I would be perceived and wasn't really thinking talking to some random person would really help. I especially didn't think a video chat, phone call or using the direct messaging would work. Well I can say I was completely wrong and I'm thrilled with how Rebecca has been in handling everything I share with her! Upon our first session I was getting anxious thinking I was going to cancel and reschedule, I'm glad I didn't reschedule. I felt very at ease immediately when talking to her maybe to much at ease I was a bit talkative and had to keep stopping myself so I could listen to her very helpful guidance. I'm very happy I've been sticking with betterhelp and I'm thrilled I got paired up with Rebecca.
