I’ve seen other therapists in the past, but Candace doesn’t just listen, she really comes at you with some hard hitting, soul searching questions which I needed. She gives encouragement when I’m making progress but also not afraid to say here are ways you can improve. She’s extremely helpful and I’m thankful for her.

Hello!
If you are here seeking therapy to overcome a personal struggle, or are wanting help with learning how to cope with a life circumstance, or you’re just seeking warm encouragement as you work towards finding contentment in your life, you are in good company! Therapy is a great resource that helps individuals achieve confidence in living the life they love, support for developing healthier relationships, & education for obtaining coping skills & cognitive skills to navigate life's ups and downs or the mental health struggles you may find yourself experiencing. Whatever the reason you are here, welcome! I am a licensed professional counselor (LPC-MHSP) with 6+ years experience. I have worked in residential and outpatient settings treating both mental health issues and addictions. I have ample experience conducting individual sessions, family sessions, and group sessions. I have worked with a wide range of mental health issues such as depression, bi-polar disorder, anxiety (mild-severe), and stress.
I have ample experience with treating addictions, behavioral health issues, and relationship struggles. My most commonly used therapeutic approaches are Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and Client-Centered Therapy. My personal style is a warm, laid-back, & non-judgmental style approach. I incorporate validation and empathy as I listen to each client tell their stories. I believe most individuals seeking counseling hold a universal goal which is TO BE HEARD. And I am more than happy to listen! I use therapeutic tools and techniques that specifically stem from each client's individual strengths & skills. I mirror clients' personal capabilities and resilience to offer present-day solutions to their current struggles or obstacles. I thrive on offering empowerment and affirmation to boost confidence and life-sustaining change. I move at the client's directed pace and offer a safe place to share and to find healing. I know how nerve-racking taking that first step with counseling can be so please know it is OK to go slow with therapy! "Get your feet wet" to see how therapy works for you. I am here to listen to you whenever you are ready!

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.
Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

This is my first experience with any form of therapy and she has made me feel so comfortable. She has provided me with tools to better understand myself and grow as a person. I will 100% retain everything we have discussed and recommend her to everyone!
Candace has been one of the most influential people in my life in the past year. With her warm, caring, funny, practical style, I have made critical steps toward better mental health, and will always be deeply grateful to have had the opportunity to work together.
Candace is such an amazing and compassionate therapist! She really listens to your thoughts/words and gives you the best feedback for your situation. She will even pull on her own experiences as examples of solutions or pathways that could be a possibility to help in my situation and that is such an unbelievably refreshing viewpoint!
I’m so grateful for Candace’s time and expertise. She does a fantastic job

She is very open and caring, she creates an atmosphere for sharing.
Very supportive and helpful
I had seen a counselor for a couple years prior to Candace, I felt I wasn’t getting much out of it but maybe that was therapy. When I found the BetterHelp app and Candace, I felt I was getting what I had been searching for for the first time. I am seen, it’s easy and convenient for my busy lifestyle, and I felt our styles match perfectly. Living a rural location, finding the help you seek can be difficult. BetterHelp changed that for me.
My therapist provides me with the tools I need to navigate my anxiety and help me for my future.
She’s the best

Candace has been nothing short of spectacular for me. I'm very grateful for her help.
Working with Candace helps me feel comfortable to open up and she guides me to focus on progress over perfection. I can talk to her about intimidating situations and she guides me in such a way that it helps me to feel less intimidated. I hope you get the chance to connect with her and enjoy her empathy and confident kindness.
I just started therapy at the end of September. I wasn’t sure I would like it or if it would help, but then I got paired up with Candace and from our first session together, I could tell she was really going to help me over come my anxiety and made me feel like I wasn’t alone in this journey to becoming a better version of me. She genuinely cares. I felt very secure and confident talking to her and opening up to her and it amazes me because I only did one session with her! I have another session scheduled that’s coming up and I am excited about it. Therapy isn’t anything like what the stereotypes are saying it is. It is much different and in a better way.
Candace is so kind and compassionate and I look forward to sessions with her every week.
