Stuck. Overwhelmed. Lost. Frustrated. Ashamed. These are deeply painful emotions. I work with adults aged 18 and up, and these are just some of the words that many of my clients use to describe the pain that prompted them to seek therapy. Perhaps you've experienced trauma, or are in a difficult relationship. You might be struggling to integrate faith or God into your experience, or maybe you prefer therapy that doesn't involve God at all. Maybe, you've just been feeling sad, disconnected, worried, or "out of it." No matter what, we usually want the same things: freedom. Peace. A deeper sense of and confidence in who we are.

I believe healing occurs in the context of our relationships with ourselves and those around us, and I work with clients to achieve this through exploring their concerns together, not as an “expert,” but rather as a “co-journeyer,” bearing witness and holding calm space in sessions for this to happen in a way that allows clients to feel safe and understood.

The primary tool I bring to sessions is my authentic self...who I am at my core. When a client enters the therapy space, they bring their authentic self as well. This forms the basis of the therapy process, and allows the exciting part—growth and healing—to begin. If you feel ready to proceed with therapy, I would be honored to join you in your journey!

Online counseling, sometimes called teletherapy, refers to talk therapy delivered remotely through digital platforms, such as video calls, phone calls, or chat. It can be a great option for people who face barriers to traditional face-to-face therapy, such as those living in remote areas, individuals with mobility issues, or people with busy schedules that make it difficult to attend in-person sessions.

Teletherapy also offers greater convenience and flexibility, allowing clients to access care from the comfort of their homes. Research shows that the treatment outcomes with online counseling are often just as effective as with traditional therapy, providing a viable alternative for individuals seeking mental health support.

My first and best therapist. Alyssa is very kind, sweet and patient with me. She breaks down and goes into details with the parts I struggle with myself after a breakup. I’m surprised and impressed to discover how these parts affect me and interconnect with each other. Although I’m still struggling with myself, I can see myself improving with Alyssa’s help. Thank you Alyssa

Alyssa is such a kind person. She finds a way to help that best suits you. She had helped me unravel things, and also piece things together in a way I didn’t think they could relate. She is there for you, and is so helpful in getting you started on a journey that can be difficult to begin.

Alyssa is everything I could hope for in a counselor. I’m so happy she was assigned to me. She goes over and above to help and she centers in on the issues very quickly. She’s compassionate, understanding and so knowledgeable. Thank you!
