I am Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) licensed in the state of Kentucky by the National Board of Professional Counselors to provide mental health counseling. I graduated from Mid-Continent University receiving a B.A. in Missions and Evangelism. I obtained my M.Ed., in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Murray State University, Ky. I have over 7 years of experience and extensive training in treating adolescent and adult behavior concerns. As well as, 4.5 years training and experience in suicide crisis prevention and intervention. Over many years, I have tried therapist. I stopped trying because they were terrible. They would have you fill out some papers, talk to you 15-20 minutes and charge you for an hour and complete nothing. But not with Jana Wilson. She is wonderful! She is everything I thought therapy should be. I wished I had found her 20 years ago.

In the incoming patient documents given by Better Help that asks you to describe why you want therapy, I basically poured my heart out. Wrote paragraphs and paragraphs of very specific scenarios and personal circumstances that made me wonder if I was scaring potential therapists away. Jana's been wonderful and seems perfectly suited for the exact situation I find myself in, dealing with long-term mourning, feelings of social isolation, and fallout from religious-related upset in my life. She's been great and I would absolutely recommend her.

A great experience
I didn't know what to expect with Betterhelp when I joined the platform and was scared that I might not be able to be helped at all but Jana is amazing. She listens well and really cares about what I shared with her and remembered it. All the worksheets I got were beneficial and she always got back to me quickly if I messaged her outside our session times. I understand myself better now and though putting these new practices into reality is hard I know how to change my beliefs and more importantly, I know that I can.
