Miss Theresa has been extremely helpful in my life. I was at a breaking point and she was able to help me look at my life in different perspectives and made a plan to get me back on track. She isn’t afraid to tell it to me straight which I really like.

About Me:
Hi there... My name is Theresa Shultz. I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW), in the state of North Carolina. I am also a mother of three, grandmother to four, and great grandmother to four children. I am also a survivor and a recovering alcoholic (30 years sober). Since I have been in recovery, my life has changed dramatically with much gratitude to the people who have been helping me on my journey. I would like to help you on your journey of recovery now. I have been providing therapy for the past ten years in many different roles. I have worked with a wide range of people and populations. I have experience with a variety of mental health conditions such as, depression, anxiety, addiction, anger management issues, grief/loss, trauma experiences and relationship conflicts.
My approach to therapy is to be warm and attentive, non-judgemental, direct and honest. I will not tell you how to live your life only provide support and tools to help you achieve your goals. I will join with you for a time to assist you on this part of your journey, working together with you as a team. I will assist you in identifying your goals and the steps needed to achieve them. Depending on what your treatment goals are, I use some different therapeutic interventions, such as: short term solution-focused therapy; Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT); Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT); Mindfulness, and Motivational Interviewing (MI).
Therapy will move at your pace to achieve your overall therapeutic goals.
I look forward to working with you.

Online counseling allows you to receive care from a mental health practitioner via phone, video chat, or instant messaging. It is convenient for those who may have trouble getting to or would prefer not to have in-person therapy appointments. Starting at $65 per week, online counseling is generally more affordable than in-person counseling. A study by researchers at University of California, Berkeley found that online counseling can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy while being more convenient, affordable, and accessible.

Theresa is wonderful. As a first time participant in therapy, it has far exceeded any expectations I had!
Miss Theresa has been extremely helpful in my life. I was at a breaking point and she was able to help me look at my life in different perspectives and made a plan to get me back on track. She isn’t afraid to tell it to me straight which I really like.
Theresa has been a great listener and has been a safe place for me to share my emotions. She doesn’t judge and offers suggestions and alternative ways to view situations and gives me space to find my own way. I highly recommend her.
Extremely comforting, very knowledgeable.
Theresa is caring and insightful. She listens, asks clarifying questions to get at the root of what is going on, and provides thoughtful feedback. When she gives strategies to try, she also helps you understand how and when to apply them in your life. I always have food for thought after a session with her. In summary, she’s amazing.
Theresa is wonderful. She fully listens, and she has such knowledge. I really value her practical suggestions.
Theresa is a good listener and her advice has been very helpful
Theresa is kind and compassionate. She offers suggestions based on what we speak about during a session. She’s listens carefully and attentively.
She’s totally amazing and listens to what I have to say and gives me support. I highly recommend her
Excellent
Very compassionate, able to connect with military background. Keeps in touch when I have to reschedule appointments to mentor me to success.
Theresa listens well and asks good questions to gain understanding of the issues that I struggle with. She has provided some helpful suggestions and resources. She has a gentle and kind manner and sufficient experience to "see" what is going on. My main issues have been anxiety, PTSD and severe original family dysfunction. I am also in the middle of a cancer recurrence, death of a family member, an international move and adult children with significant needs. I would highly recommend Theresa to anyone, but as an older woman, she is especially helpful for those of us facing issues with adult children, grandchildren, generational family dysfunction and more.
Theresa found me in a time in my life where I was confused and lost. I was in the middle of a relationship in shambles and I was unsure which direction I wanted to go. She helped me to find and see my purpose and meaning in life. Helped me get in the path to finding my own happiness and not allowing others to affect my choices. Many other events happened as well which she was able to assist me in remaining on the path - one concentrated on me. I cannot thank her enough with helping me end one relationship, find my true happiness and learn how to handle future relationships.
Theresa helped me tremendously. She helped me regain my confidence, learn strategies to deal with anxiety, and gave me tools to use when things are difficult. She pays attention to my body language and asks questions when I do not know what to say. Highly recommend her to anyone.
Theresa has been amazing and the first therapist I've ever connected with and was able.to.actually feel as if therapy had been helpful. If not for her I would've deleted the app and asked for refund already!
I was impressed with Theresa within the first few minutes of our first live session we did a breathing exercise because she notice how tense I was. Also she was able to pick up the overthinker aspect of my myself.
