It takes a great deal of courage to reach out for help when struggling emotionally, physically, and or behaviorally. Let me introduce myself. I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), who has been working as a therapist, with a variety of clients, for the last 15 years. It is important to me that everyone be treated with respect and dignity no matter what they are dealing with in their life. I achieved a Masters Degree in Social Work at West Virginia University and have completed 70 hours towards Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Certification.
As a therapist it is my goal to provide compassion, understanding, and support without discrimination, stigmatization, and or judgement. I have worked effectively with clients who are dealing with Addiction, ADHD, Anxiety, Anger, Bipolar, Career Challenges, Depression, Domestic Violence, Medical Issues/Diagnoses, Parenting Problems, PTSD, Stress, Trauma, and Weight Loss. Your struggle is real no matter how difficult or what others may think is not important.
My therapy style is interactive and client centered. My therapeutic approach consists of Cognitive Behavioral (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral (DBT), Impact, Gestalt, and Solution Focused along with therapeutic techniques and activities, based on individual needs, to help you to achieve your goals. I am straightforward but also empathetic to the needs of my clients.
If you are ready and able to commit to taking the first step, we can work together to help you to achieve a happier and more fulfilling life through a commitment towards change. I am here to support and empower you throughout the process. I’m excited and looking forward to be working with you!

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.
Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

Rebecca makes me think and helps me to own my own mistakes.
Rebecca Boardman has been a tremendous help for me this year. She's respectful and validating but also has no problem calling me out when I'm being problematic which I need those checks from time to time. She's more than just here to listen and validate is what that means. She helps. She's very knowledgeable and insightful and I would definitely recommend her.
Rebecca is amazing at helping me work through my own blocks, reframe situations, and change negative thought patterns. I love working with her. Monday's are my favorite so that I can reflect and get a fresh positive start to my week.

I really appreciate the help she's given. I love her style of therapy she has, it's just a perfect fit for myself. She really makes me feel and know that she genuinely understands and cares about my struggles and the background I personally come from. She gives great advice, helpful tips, good coping skills, challenges my way of thinking, and always makes me smile or laugh with each session. She is a wonderful therapist.

She talks to me as a friend would and treats me with courtesy and respect. I feel as a person not a number with her. Positive advice with techniques to reduce anxiety in my fast paced high demand life. She seems to think outside the box.
Rebecca listens and gives thoughtful feedback. She's quick to answer if I have any things to talk about via text. I look forward to each of our weekly sessions

Rebecca has been a true blessing in my eyes to make sense of my life with a few sessions. She is amazing, smart, extremely helpful. I am truly thankful we were matched up as my therapist. From the bottom of my heart, I truly thank you
Barbara is a great therapist! I sought help after some recent big changes in my life and I always leave a session with at least one nugget of wisdom I hadn't considered previously.
Very pleasant to speak with on all issues. I am going through divorce with a difficult NPD woman and have just come out this year as bisexual which has caused a lot of issues with family and friends. Rebecca has been very pleasant and supportive and open to my discussing my bisexuality, something that is core to my personality. I had other therapist become uncomfortable with the topic but she is very understanding and makes me comfortable to discuss. Highly recommend, especially if dealing with personal relationships and LGBTQ matters.
Great therapist with extensive knowledge base.
Rebecca is great she truly cares and listens to you and helps you navigate through even the most difficult conversations!
Rebecca is helping me see life through different eyes. I appreciate her a great deal
I was unsure about therapy, nervous and decided that BetterHelp was a great way to ease into it and I could stop anytime I wanted. Rebecca was so warming and welcoming that all that disappeared and I look forward to our weekly sessions. Her knowledge and experience have helped me through this process and working through the things that have needed unpacked for years. I would highly recommend Rebecca, especially if you’re dealing with either drug addiction or being the parent of someone in addiction. 10 out of 10 she’s your gal.
Rebecca is so supportive and encouraging! She has taught me how to challenge the negative thoughts and be more present in my life.
Rebecca is kind and caring

If you get Rebecca do not skip. She’s amazing at what she does and you will not be disappointed. I’m a 26 year old male that had something disconnect in my brain and she went above and beyond in helping me cope. It takes time. Love yourself.
Rebecca tells me what I need to hear, not what I want to hear.
Rebecca was so kind and empathetic as she guided me through strategies to cope with the loss of my mom. I appreciate how she listened, supported me, and provided strategies to apply when anxiety overcomes me. Even though at first, I delayed actually writing a letter to my mom, once I started the grief (still there) but it became easier to breath. Thank you for making me try this because it has helped tremendously and given me tools to return to.
Rebecca is a wonderful therapist. She offered valuable tools during the very first session that were very helpful. I would strongly recommend her to anyone who needs help!
Miss Boardman is a fantastic therapist, and helped me recognize not only the issues in my headspace, but life in general. She has helped put me on a path of success whereas before doing sessions with her, I felt like I was going in a literal circle with no progress. Additionally, I feel like I'm actually worth something to myself and the community and that is a feeling I haven't really had for a good while up until these therapy sessions. Slightly off-topic but I feel like my spirituality has also improved, being able to talk to Miss Boardman and hear insight and discussion about God that is outside of my usual "small town church" setting was incredibly refreshing and (at least I think!) remarkably good for my soul. 10/10 would absolutely recommend Rebecca Boardman!
Rebecca is a wonderful listener. She allows me to share my story and when she responds to my situations, it is always in a way to help me see it from a new angle. She is knowledgable, personable and kind. I look forward to my sessions each week!
So thankful for her, she’s so down to earth and really tries to help you.
She is professional, good advisor and listener
She is amazing. She always responds promptly. I really like how she is so unbiased and shares her opinions for each person/situation in what we discuss. She has really put me at ease for what therapy/counseling is like.
I like being able to talk to a therapist on line, not having to go out in bad weather for a meeting. I am happy with Rebecca’s cheerfulness and encouragement. She listens very well and has helped me have a better attitude toward our son and his problems. I am grateful for that and look forward to our sessions.
