Amy has been an angel sent to me at a really pivotal time in my life where I could have chosen two really different paths. She is compassionate, caring, intelligent and intuitive. She is a great listener who asks the right questions to help me go deeper. Amy offers real world reflection and knowledge through things she has experienced along the way and not just something she read in a book. I highly recommend working with Amy! Your life will be changed for the better.

I am licensed mental health and addictions counselor with more than 13 years of experience working in community mental health and private practice. I earned my BS from North Carolina State University then earned a MA in Counseling from North Carolina Central University. I completed my practicum at Hospice, studying thanatology and my internship focused on counseling women with mental illness, addiction, and trauma. For 10 years, I worked with active duty military and their families providing solution focused counseling. I take an integrative approach to counseling focused on mind and body connection to support mental, physical, spiritual, and financial self-care.
Outside of being a counselor, I am single older mom to an energetic toddler. I fully empathize that life takes us on unexpected course and at times pulls us out of balance. I am here to support and empower you on your journey to achieve your goals to lead the healthiest life.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.
Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

Amy is wonderful. I really got lucky that I connected with her immediately so I didn't have to switch therapists. I've only had 3 sessions but I feel so much better and more cost about my thought and the direction that I need to go.
Amy is extremely supportive, listens carefully, and then works with you to understand and develop techniques to overcome whatever challenges you're facing. Amy is clearly focused on working with you to improve your mental health and develop techniques that allow you to stay healthy. I highly recommend Amy!
