Even though I was only able to have a few sessions with Bonnie, she has taught me valuable tools to help me in multiple areas. She has also helped me to see the bigger picture and increase my self esteem. I felt very comfortable talking with her and felt that she understood where I was coming from. I would definitely recommend her.

Greetings and thank you for taking the time to check out my counselor profile.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 11 years of services that began when I went back to college and was experiencing issues with co-parenting. I used a strengths-based cognitive behavior approach (thoughts lead to actions) that I learned in social work school and applied it to my own life circumstances. I believe that my personal experience in addition to education have worked together to help me become a better counselor; i.e., a master listener and empathizer.

Over the years, my clients have included children, adolescents, couples and families in addition to formerly incarcerated individuals who are re-integrating into family life and work. I also have experience with the child welfare system which can be helpful to families attempting to navigate through family maintenance and reunification. I have worked extensively with grandparents and extended family members (kinship) who are struggling to cope with new childcare responsibilities when children have been removed from their biological parents’ custody.

People who experience depression, low self-esteem, LGBQ-T related issues, PTSD, ADHD and anger management issues are some of my favorite human beings to work with. Do any of these issues apply to your own life? I am here to help you, but it is important to remember that I cannot “fix” your problems. I will give you some tools (coping skills) to help you help yourself. Are you ready to change your feelings and emotions that are controlling you? Let’s work together to put a mentally healthier and emotionally stable YOU back in control!

Online counseling, sometimes called teletherapy, refers to talk therapy delivered remotely through digital platforms, such as video calls, phone calls, or chat. It can be a great option for people who face barriers to traditional face-to-face therapy, such as those living in remote areas, individuals with mobility issues, or people with busy schedules that make it difficult to attend in-person sessions.

Teletherapy also offers greater convenience and flexibility, allowing clients to access care from the comfort of their homes. Research shows that the treatment outcomes with online counseling are often just as effective as with traditional therapy, providing a viable alternative for individuals seeking mental health support.

Bonnie is very quick to respond and always has a comment to my daily journals which is helpful and supportive in between video sessions. She has a good way of just kind of checking in and making you feel comfortable before we actually start talking about whatever topics we’re addressing in the session. I’d definitely recommend Bonnie to anyone.
