I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the State of Florida since 2011. I have over 7 years of experience working with dual diagnosis children, adolescents and their families. I am also experienced in leading a clinical team in an Intensive Outpatient setting. I've supervised master’s degree level Mental Health students in their pursuits to licensure and have conducted therapeutic groups for potential master’s degree level graduates.

I am a mother of two and I love working with parents and their children. I offer support using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy which allows the client to play an active role in their treatment. I take a client centered approach to therapy and I explore the client’s negative self talk and help them to replace them with more positive affirmations. I use Motivational Interviewing skills to help clients with decision making and transitioning through the various stages of change. I believe in creating an open and safe environment for the client to share issues and feelings without being judged. The client’s cultural background is very important in the therapeutic process and I have worked with a diverse cultural population and embrace the values, beliefs and world views of my clients. I believe in helping clients to explore their strengths and attributes by teaching various coping skills and utilizing role play and other techniques. I specialize in Attention- Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, Impulsivity, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, Conduct Disorder, anger management techniques, parenting skills, Postpartum Depression, Depression and Anxiety.

I look forward to working with you.
