Hello and welcome! My name is Ann Bevan and I am a licensed clinical social worker here in Louisiana. I completed my graduate training at Tulane where I earned a Master's Degree in Social Work. I have worked for more than 20 years in the field in several different capacities. Over that period of time, I have met with and supported people facing medical challenges, loss, grief, anxiety, depression, and relationship difficulties.
I have been described as being a good listener, one who is compassionate, understanding, patient, and respectful. My goal is to provide a safe space where individuals can talk about any topic that is weighing on their hearts or minds. I strive to help individuals move through their challenging times or issues in order to gain a better feeling about themselves, others, and the world. I draw upon various psychologies and therapeutic philosophies. I have used cognitive behavioral therapy, insight, Jungian psychology, the Enneagram, and Mindfulness.
Congratulations for reaching out. Should you decide to make an appointment, it will be a privilege to accompany you on your journey.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.
Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

Thoughtful and understanding
Ann Bevan is a wonderful therapist. She is teaching me tools to handle my anxiety as I make several changes in my life; empty nest, down shift my career….
Ann is very empathetic, kind, and knowledgeable! She lends a great listening ear and is quick to respond when I need her!
Ann Bevan is the most wonderful, caring therapist. In just a few sessions I have learned new tools that have helped me greatly.
Ann helped me within an hour of my first session with her. After listening, she asked appropriate and thought provoking questions that helped guide me to better understanding of a continued area of conflict with my daughter. She also offered ways to develop a communication style that promotes a more open, respectful relationship. With effort and time I am now hopeful I will be able to grow an even stronger bond with my daughter.
