My name is Shannon and I am an LCSW in Norman, OK. I have worked in a therapeutic setting for over 18 years and still feel it is my calling. I have worked in youth and family centers, been a coordinator for in-school therapy, a manager for Victims of Crime Act, worked with the court and prison systems, completed assessment and referral for SMI individuals, and have been in private practice.
My therapy style is relaxed, warm and my approach is CBT, Psychodynamic and the empowerment approach. I believe we all have strengths and once we begin to recognize them we will begin to use them and will continue to build. I look forward to working with you.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.
Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

Shannon, is the kind of therapist I have been hoping to connect with for help. She really gives me space to process my stuff, and gives really constructive feed back. She has started to help me access tools, to find the courage in myself to really take my life back.
Shannon is the absolute best! She has helped me thorough so much. When I don’t know how I’m feeling, she really helps me discover what it is and totally makes a plan to help get me through it.
My therapist is amazing. It's honestly the only good therapist or therapy I've ever gotten
Shannon has been super responsive through messaging, and is so friendly snd helpful through our sessions. I feel comfortable telling her and discussing anything that’s happening snd feel hopeful that with issues she’ll give me guidance to make the right/best decisions for me
Shannon has not only listened to me and my concerns, but also came up with a plan that I can implement to help better myself, my thought process and my actions. She has given me more time and acknowledgment than I have received from another therapist, which means a lot. Shannon has helped me through tough situations and has helped me want to be a better person overall.
Shannon is so wonderful, supportive and insightful. She has really helped me learn healthier coping mechanisms and work through so much of my trauma.
Shannon is a great therapist, she helped me a lot through my struggles and helped me become a better version of myself. I’m very thankful for having her as my therapist. Thanks
