I'm Tara, a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of South Carolina. I'm also the owner of A Peaceful Mind Counseling Service, LLC. I have worked in the field of mental health for almost 20 years and have been providing therapy 16 years. I started my career working with children. Over the years I have developed skills to support individuals with behavioral issues, anxiety, depression, anger, family/parenting conflict and trauma. I have a history of working with children who have autism and and has a certificate in ABA.

I believe that the focus should start with the individual and provide coping skills to address current issues while taking the necessary steps to resolve those issues and reach your goal. It is my goal to assist/guide individuals in being able to share in a safe place. I have experience in Client-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness and Motivational Interviewing .

Online counseling, sometimes called teletherapy, refers to talk therapy delivered remotely through digital platforms, such as video calls, phone calls, or chat. It can be a great option for people who face barriers to traditional face-to-face therapy, such as those living in remote areas, individuals with mobility issues, or people with busy schedules that make it difficult to attend in-person sessions.

Teletherapy also offers greater convenience and flexibility, allowing clients to access care from the comfort of their homes. Research shows that the treatment outcomes with online counseling are often just as effective as with traditional therapy, providing a viable alternative for individuals seeking mental health support.
