Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

Anita is very good at what she does and I feel lucky to have found her. She's very smart and resourceful and will always have an alternative solution if you don't feel comfortable with a certain way of doing things. She listens well and identifies your real needs and fears and helps you tackle them. She's giving me a comfortable space to figure out my issues and makes me feel supported all along. She's also very human and will not hesitate to give that extra 5-10mins if you're experiencing something strong, which not all therapists would do. All in all, I really appreciate Anita and think she's a great therapist!

Reviewed January 2023

It's early days - we've only had 2 sessions - but Anita has already brought me a variety of tools and techniques that are helping to ground me & at least are beginning to reduce the extent of my anxiety/depressive moods. In addition to the sessions themselves, Anita has provided timely, thoughtful responses to every messages I've sent her. And her breathing meditation - which she walked me through during our 1st session and then shared with me via a Soundcloud recording - is a practice I now follow daily

After a long search , I found Anita who patiently and gently broke through my mistrust that I would find anyone properly who could actually understand and help. That must not have been easy. But she did push through and I am grateful.

She truly sees you. Her questioning, and ability to get you to step away from the situation and see it from what it is, is fantastic. Anita is gentle, warm, holds space for you, but also challenging in a very safe way. Taping into your thinking and prospective - she’s perfect!
