I am a BACP registered person-centred counsellor based in Scotland. I offer counselling sessions to individuals over the age of 18.
What do I offer?
As a person-centred counsellor, I believe each individual person is the expert of their own feelings and experiences – I won’t tell you what is ‘wrong’ with you, or tell you what you 'ought' to do. I don’t necessarily have the answers and certainly won’t try to ‘fix’ you. Instead I will work with you to develop a safe and accepting therapeutic relationship, which can offer you the time and space to discuss and explore your individual experiences and feelings, without judgement.
My aim is to try to deeply understand you, your experiences and your feelings from your perspective. Being heard and understood in this way is not something we often encounter in every-day life, and it can help us find more clarity about the way we are feeling, or bring more understanding, awareness, meaning and acceptance to the things we are experiencing. I hope to offer you a safe, welcoming space in which we can explore whatever it is you are dealing with, and develop a sense of how you want to move forward with things.
How can I help?
The reasons people come for counselling are many and varied. Equally, the benefits people experience as a result are just as diverse. You may have an idea already of what you hope for from counselling. For some it might be increased personal insight and self-awareness, a greater sense of who you are and what you want. You may be dealing with a particular problem or experience and need a safe space to be able to explore what this means for you. Or you may be looking to bring changes to your relationships, decision making, lifestyle choices or personal growth.
I have particular experience working with people dealing with loss and grief, in particular around baby loss. But whatever brings you to counselling I will be happy to explore with you how I might support you in finding a way forward that makes sense for you.

Online counseling, sometimes called teletherapy, refers to talk therapy delivered remotely through digital platforms, such as video calls, phone calls, or chat. It can be a great option for people who face barriers to traditional face-to-face therapy, such as those living in remote areas, individuals with mobility issues, or people with busy schedules that make it difficult to attend in-person sessions.
Teletherapy also offers greater convenience and flexibility, allowing clients to access care from the comfort of their homes. Research shows that the treatment outcomes with online counseling are often just as effective as with traditional therapy, providing a viable alternative for individuals seeking mental health support.
