Alison is great. She is exactly the type of therapist I needed at this stage and has responded excellently to me. I believe she has a huge arsenal of tools and techniques to work with and as well as making lots of very helpful suggestions in efforts to shift ingrained thinking, she is also flexible and creative to pull in other suggestions during our suggestions. I especially appreciate her firmness and steadiness, even when my thinking is hijacked by unhelpful thoughts. Thank you Alison, much appreciated

I am an integrative therapist licensed in the UK with seven years of professional work experience. I have experience in helping clients with stress and anxiety, family conflicts, trauma and abuse, & parenting issues. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs. Taking the first step to sign up for therapy can take courage and I am proud of you for getting started!

INTEGRATIVE THERAPY is a combined approach to psychotherapy that brings together different elements of specific therapies. Integrative therapists take the view that there is no single approach that can treat each client in all situations.

I also amalgamate science with spirituality, identifying that we have the power of our internal strength, to change the structure of our brain. You can eliminate old thought patterns and habits, and create new, by way of Neuroplasticity.

Person Centred: Client Talking Therapy.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT): Working together to resolve present day concerns. Psychodynamic: Exploring childhood and deep-rooted issues. Solution Focused: A goal directed collaborative approach. Existential: Existential therapy focuses on free will, self-determination, and the search for meaning, often cantering on you rather than on the symptom. This approach emphasizes your capacity to make rational choices and to develop to your maximum potential.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

Alison is an excellent therapist. She has many tools under her belt to offer and every one has been relevant to me and very useful. I'm so grateful to Betterhelp for connecting me with Alison and very grateful to Alison for being so aware, wise, skilled, considerate and caring. Alison has really helped me in many ways and the results have been actually life changing. The dark, self-destructive thoughts are all but gone as a direct result of speaking with Alison and I feel I'm finally moving through and past some heavy lifelong issues and all beginning to feel lighter, less burdened and more in tune with myself. Thank you Alison. X

Alison has great insight and clarity. She has pushed me to responsible and honest with myself. She has been a great driver for my personal growth.

Reviewed March 2024

Alison knows well the subject. She comes back to certain issues often, in this way the things that have not been resolved have a chance to be discussed again.

Reviewed November 2023

Alison listens to the issues and then give her support and tools so I can work out how to put my story together for a better understanding and clarity. As a therapist she is calm, considerate and sensitive to my emotional issue. She always send information about the issues we talked about during each session, then I do the work and during the sessions we go through it together, with Alison giving her insight into the subject we are discussing. Deep emotional trauma can bring a great deal of emotions out and it feels very light once I had this opportunity to give the sensation a shape and analyze it.
