Lorraine has been amazing this past year. She's kind, patient, intuitive and really client led. We built a relationship really quickly and her very human approach is exactly what I needed and continue with as a result. As someone who wasn't sure about counselling, this has been such a positive experience for me!

Lorraine and I clicked very quickly and her conversation and tone was comforting and understanding. She's a great communicator and very flexible. I would highly recommend her as a better help therapist and as a person. Very professional but approachable.

As a member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy and an accredited member of the National Counselling Society, I bring extensive experience in supporting clients with a wide range of challenges, including disordered eating, anxiety, relationship difficulties, family issues, work-related stress, and navigating neurodivergence such as ADHD.

I believe that you are the author of your own story and possess the strength to overcome obstacles. My role is to support and guide you in uncovering that strength and making positive, lasting changes in your life.

My personal journey has given me a deep understanding of how isolating and overwhelming life’s struggles can feel. I have faced my own challenges, including disordered eating, Fibromyalgia, Cluster headaches, and anxiety. These experiences have shaped my compassionate approach to counselling, allowing me to empathize deeply with my clients. I understand how these struggles can take over daily life, creating cycles of guilt, shame, and frustration—but I also know that recovery and transformation are possible.

I am especially passionate about helping individuals with disordered eating break free from painful patterns and establish a healthier, more compassionate relationship with themselves. Together, we can explore the root causes of your struggles, address the pressures that contribute to them, and develop new coping strategies in a supportive and nonjudgmental environment.

For clients with ADHD, I offer tailored support to help manage the unique challenges this can bring to daily life. Living with ADHD can feel overwhelming, impacting focus, organization, emotional regulation, and relationships. My approach is rooted in empathy and empowerment, helping you develop practical strategies to manage symptoms while fostering self-awareness and acceptance. Together, we’ll work on leveraging your strengths, addressing areas of difficulty, and creating a more balanced, fulfilling life.

I am relational in my approach, working hard to create a safe, collaborative environment where you feel comfortable sharing your concerns. I understand how societal pressures and past experiences can make you feel stuck, but I believe that with the right support, you can move toward a life where you feel empowered, peaceful, and more aligned with your authentic self.

Whether you are navigating disordered eating, ADHD, or other challenges, my goal is to help you uncover the tools and strategies that work best for you. Together, we will focus on fostering acceptance, building resilience, and creating the changes you want to see in your life.

I am committed to walking alongside you on this journey of self-improvement, helping you let go of what no longer serves you and empowering you to embrace the life you aspire to have.

Lorraine has been my guide through my first experience of therapy. I didnt know what to expect, but I feel very lucky to have had her professional and caring presence through some difficult times. The way she translates a solid theoretical understanding into a personal approach has worked wonders for me. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a warm, caring therapist who you can trust to listen to you and offer judgement-free advice.

Lorraine is a genuinely kind and caring person, who is easy to talk to. She doesn't judge you, no matter what you say, which creates a safe place to open up about feelings that you can't share anywhere else. I had a short course of counselling with Lorraine to help me to unlock a stuck feeling that I had been experiencing for many years. It was associated with lots of shame and guilt. I would highly recommend Lorraine and I will go back to her if new issues come up for me.
