After a shaky initial couple of runs finding the right counsellor, I feel very lucky to have landed on Rebecca. She's a great listener and never fails to ask very insightful questions and help me gain much-needed perspective on a lot of my issues. Would absolutely recommend.

I can tell I finally have found my best therapist ever, Rebecca Pugh. Through my long journey of mental health issues, it's been hard for me to reach out a therapist who can really hear my voice but at the same time in a professional way. I do appreciate her more than just expressions, like every time I have a session or I just send a text message her even before I got her reply and it's huge for me. Thank you Rebecca. I do mean it.

More about Rebecca

I am licensed in the UK as a Psychodynamic Counsellor. I have experience in helping clients in many areas, including stress and anxiety, relationship issues, family conflicts, trauma and abuse. Whilst I do not offer advice, I am here to listen and think with you about your experiences, thoughts, and emotions. Often having another person to talk things out with can help us see things from another perspective or can facilitate finding a clearer way forward.

Our therapy can be either short or long term, and we can think together about what option works best for you. I offer once weekly sessions which will be very open for you to bring and discuss anything you wish. There is not a specific plan that we stick to, with steps and goals, but rather a fluid space to work on what feels important at that time. I do not often set homework, but if you feel that some goals between sessions would be helpful, we can definitely discuss this.

There are many different treatment approaches in therapy, so it is important that you find the one that works for you. If you would like more information about the psychodynamic approach, please feel free to ask or do your own research.

Online counseling allows you to receive care from a mental health practitioner via phone, video chat, or instant messaging. It is convenient for those who may have trouble getting to or would prefer not to have in-person therapy appointments. Starting at $65 per week, online counseling is generally more affordable than in-person counseling. A study by researchers at University of California, Berkeley found that online counseling can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy while being more convenient, affordable, and accessible.

Rebecca is a great listener and even when I ramble she seems to get right to the heart of the issue. She creates a very safe space to be open with difficult, vulnerable issues. Highly recommended.

This is my first therapy experience and it is going very well. With Rebecca's guidance, I am exploring my traumatic events, without judgement, and discovering my blind spots. I feel both understood and like I'm learning and improving as a human. Her questions help me probe further into subjects I may have only touched upon superficially.
