Recent reviews

I have been really impressed with Felix Murad. My previous therapist was not really deploying a methodology that worked for me — ie he would just let me talk and say that things sounded hard. I feel like everything Felix does is informed by a solid therapeutic practice/plan, and that he challenges me, sets homework, makes me think — I am finding this much more useful in terms of making progress. Felix is informed, knowledgeable, friendly, and really seems to dig into individual cases carefully.

Hello, and welcome to my page. My name is Felix, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Texas, an LMHC in Washington, ann CMHC (NH) and a National Certified Counselor.

I consider myself a multicultural counselor with an eclectic approach when helping clients overcome barriers to their overall wellness. While I adopt an eclectic counseling approach, I view the clients I work with through a humanistic philosophy. This means I believe each person is the expert of their own lives, and I am here to guide you through overcoming barriers that hinder you from living a life full of vitality and flourishing.

The modalities I use, depending on the client, include Cognitive Behavior Therapy, D.B.T. My approach is tailored to my client's specific needs and is always collaborative, ensuring that my clients have a say in how best to assist them.

I offer individual and couples counseling to address various mental health and relationship concerns. My experience includes helping individuals overcome issues such as Anxiety, Social Anxiety, Major Depression, Adjustment, Stress, Anger Issues, Substance abuse addictions, Process addictions, Domestic Violence, LGBTQ concerns, Career Exploration, Coping with chronic illness, Bullying, Self-esteem, Specific phobias, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, Trauma, and increasing overall wellness.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

I really like Felix! I’ve had therapists in the past but none were Felix! I always bragged about him to my friends and how much he helped me! I came along a way from a year ago to the person I am now! He is inspirational and admirable and funny and straight forward. Which I like! Not every therapist is for everyone but if you like someone blunt you’ll like Felix. I looked forward to every session I had with him!

Reviewed November 2020

Felix is a wonderful listener and is very compassionate. He has taught me a lot and I'm grateful for the time I've spent with him. He's helped me grow and recover from past traumas that I wasn't sure would ever get better. I still have more to learn and do, but I feel more confident and positive now that I've been working with him.
