More about Daniel

I am a licensed clinical social worker with experience in inpatient and outpatient settings treating a wide range of mental health disorders. I take a holistic approach to therapy, meaning I believe environmental/social factors can be as important as internal issues. I hold advanced certifications in trauma (CCTP) and addictions (AIMHP). At this point, I only treat individual adults; I don't see families or couples.

My role as your therapist is to help you feel more like yourself. Whether you are dealing with depression, anxiety, trauma, or a substance use disorder, you likely haven’t felt good for a while. I respect that you’ve probably tried solving this problem on your own. I want to work with you to achieve meaningful progress toward peace and sustainable happiness.

What you can expect: We will begin by setting a few specific goals based on your current needs and expectations. I offer chat, phone, and video sessions up to 45 minutes in length. Between these I am available for messages—I do my best to respond within 24 hours. Much of the work required for change will occur between sessions as you practice new techniques and apply different strategies taught in-session. I will be a resource for you along the way, as accountability partner, cheerleader, and coach.

At this time, I am scheduling sessions between 1:45 and 5:00 PM CST only.

Obviously this is serious work and your time is valuable, but I enjoy a good laugh and try to make our work as enjoyable as I can!

I’m happy for you taking this important step in prioritizing your well-being. I look forward to working with you.

Daniel has quite an education and knowledge in mental health topics which he applies during sessions. Also, It's hard to find a male therapist that could relate to what I was going through. He could. Both of these together helped me get better. For that I'm thankful for him.

Dan has been an amazing therapist for me! This is my very first attempt at therapy, and Dan was extremely caring and compassionate with listening to my concerns and understanding where I’m coming from. He took the time to understand me before recommending anything, and has been very diligent with keeping me accountable in my healing . He is extremely respectful and understanding and I would highly recommend Dan to anybody looking for support from the therapist

Daniel is an extremely calm and composed presence who has really helped me dig deeper and provide me with insights and guidance that I don't think I have thought off. He provides with good questions to ask yourself and little weekly activities to try out, which I personally found very practical and achievable. He also regularly checks in on me, and responds quickly when you send him a message. I guess the biggest compliment I could give is, time always seemed to pass by really quickly with him.
