Prior to therapy I've never opened up to anyone. Especially a total stranger. I kept a wall up for so long that it was hurting me. Dr Fabber validates me but also helps me understand myself

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.
Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

I look forward to proceeding as soon as I am financially capable
So far I've had two sessions with Dr. Fabber and I can honestly say she's a godsend. She not only listens to what I am trying to say but she also hears what I can't vocalize. She reads me very well. She is honest and gently helps me see what's important and what is not on my road to recovery. She is funny and personable and genuine. She is responsive to the journal entries which I share with her. I am looking forward to continuing my therapy with Dr. Fabber. She wants me to get better and is showing me how to accomplish that one important step at a time. Very grateful to have her as my therapist.
Still early days but I feel I have an ally in her. I really need one.
