Hi there
My name is Vicky Corcoran and I am a UK registered counsellor. I qualified as a counsellor in 2019 and currently work for an NHS Talking Therapies service as a High-Intensity Therapist working with people with a range of concerns from depression and anxiety to life changes or trauma.
Prior to my current role, I worked within a university counselling service where I provided support to students. This was often around difficulties with anxiety, procrastination and adapting to university life. I also worked for a womens' charity working with survivors of both sexual and domestic violence which is still a client group I work extensively with.
With a background of over 20 years working as a veterinary nurse, I have also used this experience to offer therapeutic support to those working within caring professions around the field of compassion fatigue and burnout.
As a professional counsellor, I am to provide you with a safe and non-judgmental space to explore your difficulties. Qualifying as an integrative counsellor means I work with a variety of models that fit each client as an individual. The focus is always on you as an individual and the changes you want in life, working together we can see how to facilitate these changes. I'm warm and supportive and recognise that reaching out for therapy is not always an easy step. I am happy to work with this and offer therapy through live chat/messenger as well as phone and video to help you achieve the goals you want in life.
I look forward to working together!

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.
Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.
