I have had only 3 weekly sessions with my new therapist, Cindy, and I know that I made the right decision in doing virtual therapy, especially with Cindy as my therapist. She does not seem to be detached (nor shocked) from my "issues". Instead, she offers me compassion and is extremely empathetic. (She's also capable of showing "tough love" when it's needed!) Her suggestions are very helpful and tailored to my individual needs. Cindy is a Christian woman. Although she did NOT say or do anything that may impose her beliefs on me, I came right out and asked her in our 1st session. Cindy did not hesitate to confirm her belief in Jesus Christ. Since my Faith in God is of the utmost importance, Cindy's answer was a huge relief. She even offered to pray with me, which I was happy to except. I actually look forward to my sessions with Cindy. Now, I find myself jotting things down that I want to tell her or ask her about, and I am always filled with anticipation of my next session. Cindy is truly a blessing to me!

Cindy is my first experience with any form of therapy. I appreciate the time she takes letting me vent at the beginning of each session, and then she guides the session to where she believes I would get the most help based on the things I said. She always makes me feel comfortable during our sessions. I instantly felt as though I found someone who would actually teach me ways to deal with the stress and anxiety from the world, but also my own mental health issues I have come to learn about as well.

Online counseling, sometimes called teletherapy, refers to talk therapy delivered remotely through digital platforms, such as video calls, phone calls, or chat. It can be a great option for people who face barriers to traditional face-to-face therapy, such as those living in remote areas, individuals with mobility issues, or people with busy schedules that make it difficult to attend in-person sessions.
Teletherapy also offers greater convenience and flexibility, allowing clients to access care from the comfort of their homes. Research shows that the treatment outcomes with online counseling are often just as effective as with traditional therapy, providing a viable alternative for individuals seeking mental health support.
