I am licensed in Tennessee as Licensed Professional Counselor-Mental Health Service Provided. During the 22 years of my career has provided me opportunities to work with many people from diverse backgrounds facing many different challenges. I have extensive experience working with adolescents and their families, members of the adoption triad, survivors of trauma, and those struggling with addiction and their family members. In addition, I have experience in helping clients with stress and anxiety, post rehabilitation adjustment, LGTBQ+ related issues, shame, anger, relationship issues, religious trauma,, and overall trauma and abuse.
The relationship between client and therapist is a foundational piece of successful outcomes. I am dedicated to providing my clients with a treatment experience that is nonjudgemental, professional, but personable , and includes objectivity, guidance and feedback to support them in attaining their personal goals.
To conclude, the decision to invest in yourself and start therapy took courage. Congratulations! If I can be of help to you in your efforts I will be honored.

Online counseling, sometimes called teletherapy, refers to talk therapy delivered remotely through digital platforms, such as video calls, phone calls, or chat. It can be a great option for people who face barriers to traditional face-to-face therapy, such as those living in remote areas, individuals with mobility issues, or people with busy schedules that make it difficult to attend in-person sessions.
Teletherapy also offers greater convenience and flexibility, allowing clients to access care from the comfort of their homes. Research shows that the treatment outcomes with online counseling are often just as effective as with traditional therapy, providing a viable alternative for individuals seeking mental health support.

Overall rating:
Fantastic person overall and excited to get further into therapy with him.
Great connection
He's been fantastic. Overall a very good man as well as therapist. Id recommend anybody to him!
James is very easy to connect and ground with. My first session with him felt like I walked into a conversation with a friend versus the usual therapist-patient interaction I was accustomed to. He is extremely grounded in conversation , straightforward in his advice, thoughtful on insights you share, and a genuine therapist to just talk with, create goals with to advance the journey of therapy, and find common ground with troubles being faced. I plan to continue my therapy journey with him, and if anyone needs someone to talk to that can relate to what I expressed here, I would highly recommend reaching out to a therapist like him.
Better than any therapist I have ever had!!!!
