Deborah has listened to my problem when I was in crisis. It takes a while to get used to your therapist so don’t give up on first try. Once I established trust with Deborah, I felt more relaxed and better. She is knowledgable and she asks the right questions, I feel that she has guided me to a better place.

More about Deborah

  • 10 years' experience
  • Female
  • BACP, NCPS

I am a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and an accredited member of the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society. I began working in counselling in 2014. Since then, I have helped clients with relationship issues, abuse, motivation, self-esteem, and confidence. I also have experience working with anxiety and depression. I have some experience working with the aftermath of domestic abuse through volunteering with a local charity.

I value learning about my clients. I believe that you are the expert on your story and that you have many strengths that will assist you in overcoming life's challenges. I am here to support you in that process. We may find that small changes can have a big impact on your life and happiness.

My training in Integrative and Pluralistic Counselling means I include a range of theories, ideas, and tools in my practice, tailoring my approach to the needs of each unique client, and their situation and goals. We may work in the present, or explore your past, as suits the situation and your aims. What I know you will get is a compassionate, nonjudgemental, safe space, where I will be fully present with you, enabling you to talk freely in the knowledge that you are secure and supported.

My main aim is to ensure you are comfortable and feel safe to open up and share your story and your ambition with me so that we can enjoy a productive therapeutic relationship that allows you to achieve your goals.

I hope to meet with you soon and look forward to working with you.

Online counseling allows you to receive care from a mental health practitioner via phone, video chat, or instant messaging. It is convenient for those who may have trouble getting to or would prefer not to have in-person therapy appointments. Starting at $65 per week, online counseling is generally more affordable than in-person counseling. A study by researchers at University of California, Berkeley found that online counseling can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy while being more convenient, affordable, and accessible.

Fantastic listener with beneficial advice always there at the end of the phone and sends reminders if needed. Very easy to talk to. I was worried I didn’t have anything to say during the sessions. However, Deborah made it very easy for me to speak freely. Can’t praise her enough.

Deborah has been helping me through a very difficult few weeks in my life currently. She is sensitive and helps me to maybe question how I am viewing my situation and problens associated with that. Also how I can maybe use sone of my own skills to help me through my situation. I strongly would recommend this therapist.

Debby is the therapist I needed! She is calm and collected and listens to everything I have to say. She knows the exact right questions to ask to make realisations burst from my mind. I have a lot of nervous energy, but Debby calms me right down with her straight to the point help and caring attitude. Debby has helped me to simplify my life, by calming my overactive mind, and now I'm getting so much more done. Looking forward to many more sessions, as I believe we've only just begun!!
