My name is Lucy and I am professional counsellor in the UK and a registered member of the BACP. I have had work experience as a counsellor, listening service volunteer and email peer supporter and I hold a Higher National Diploma in Counselling.

To any potential new clients - I offer you a very warm welcome. Navigating life’s challenges can feel overwhelming on your own. I offer a safe and welcoming space where we can navigate these challenges together.

Being an integrative counsellor allows me to work with you in a way that is best suited to you as an individual. I draw from my knowledge of Humanistic, CBT, Psychodynamic and Pluralistic counselling styles, with the therapeutic relationship at the heart of every session. My experience includes working with difficulties relating to the LGBTQ+ experience, grief and bereavement, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties and stress.

I believe that every individual has their own unique form of resilience. I can offer a space to connect with this resilient part of you, and to gain insight into yourself in ways that stay with you beyond our counselling sessions.

I understand that taking the first steps towards counselling can be a daunting new experience. As your counsellor, I will offer a listening ear and refrain from judgment.

I am available for live sessions in the form of video call, telephone, and messaging. I offer live sessions every Tuesday, so if this suits you feel free to get in touch. I very much look forward to working with you soon.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.
