More about Nicole

  • 8 years' experience
  • Female
  • LCSW

Hello! My name is Nicole - I am a licensed clinical social worker located in central maine. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, parenting/family problems, OCD, PTSD, attachment issues, depression and ADHD. I also helped many people who have experienced physical or sexual trauma and/or emotional abuse. Active Military and Military Veterans are welcome; I was in the army reserve for 8 years and served a tour of duty in Iraq in 2003-2004.

My counseling style is warm but direct and interactive. I believe in treating everyone with respect, dignity and compassion. I believe that doing activities in nature can have a positive impact on self-esteem, coping with every day life, and processing difficult experiences. I hope to share this with my clients and inspire them to get outside and enjoy life to it's fullest. It takes courage to seek for a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. If you are ready to take that step I am here to support and empower you.

Online counseling, sometimes called teletherapy, refers to talk therapy delivered remotely through digital platforms, such as video calls, phone calls, or chat. It can be a great option for people who face barriers to traditional face-to-face therapy, such as those living in remote areas, individuals with mobility issues, or people with busy schedules that make it difficult to attend in-person sessions.

Teletherapy also offers greater convenience and flexibility, allowing clients to access care from the comfort of their homes. Research shows that the treatment outcomes with online counseling are often just as effective as with traditional therapy, providing a viable alternative for individuals seeking mental health support.
